    AGREEMENT AND UNDERSTANDING FOR CATERING SERVICES

    THE UNDERSIGNED HEREBY AUTHORIZES JOHN MASON CATERING TO PROCEED WITH THE ORDER FOR CATERING SERVICES AND PLANS AS QUOTED FOR THE DATE OF ___________________. THE QUOTE IS BASED ON THE NUMBER OF GUESTS INITIALLY STATED. THE GUEST COUNT IS USED AS A BASIS FOR PURCHASING, SCHEDULING, AND PREPARATION. THE GUARANTEED GUEST COUNT IS DUE TEN (10) WORKING DAYS BEFORE THE EVENT. ALL GUESTS COUNTS FOLLOW CHART PRICING LISTED IN
    BROCHURES. IF ATTENDANCE FALLS BELOW THE GUARANTEED GUEST COUNT, NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN FOR GUESTS THAT DID NOT SHOW. IF ATTENDANCE IS ABOVE GUARANTEED GUEST COUNT, CLIENT WILL BE BILLED FOR EACH PERSON OVER THAT AMOUNT. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT
    TO VERIFY THE NUMBER OF PERSONS IN ATTENDANCE AT ALL FUNCTIONS.

    A $250.00 (NON-REFUNDABLE) DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED TO RESERVE DATE AT THE TIME OF ORDERING. DEPOSITS GUARANTEE THE CLIENT WILL HAVE A CATERER FOR THE EVENT DATE, AND THE CATERER WILL HAVE A CLIENT FOR THE EVENT DATE. ALL ESTIMATES WITHOUT A DEPOSIT WILL BE BOOKED ACCORDING TO DATE AVAILABILITY. THE OUTSTANDING BALANCE IS DUE TEN (10) DAYS BEFORE THE EVENT. CATERER PROVIDES LABOR FOR FOUR (4) HOURS OF EVENT TIME, NOT INCLUDING SET UP AND CLEAN UP. SHOULD THE EVENT RUN LONGER DUE TO DELAYS NOT CAUSED BY THE CATERER, THEN AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE OF $20.00 PER HOUR, PER EMPLOYEE, WILL BE BILLED TO THE CUSTOMER. CLIENT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONDUCT OF THEIR GUESTS.

    JOHN MASON CATERING LIKES TO SERVE GENEROUS PORTIONS OF FOOD AND BEVERAGE. TO ENSURE THERE IS ENOUGH FOOD AND BEVERAGE, WE BRING EXTRA. WE ARE HAPPY TO GIVE THE CLIENT A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF FOOD TO SERVE THEIR HOUSE GUESTS AND FAMILY OVER THE WEEKEND, HOWEVER, THE CLIENT SHOULD NOT ASSUME ALL REMAINING FOOD IS THEIRS. WITH REGARD TO BEVERAGES, ALCOHOLIC OR OTHERWISE, ALL UNOPENED CONTAINERS AND CONTAINERS THAT CAN BE RESEALED FOR FUTURE USE ARE THE PROPERTY OF THE CATERER. ANY UNUSED NAPKINS, PLASTICWARE, I.E., PLASTIC PLATES, BOWLS, AND CUPS ARE THE PROPERTY OF THE CATERER.

    BANQUET ROOM SET-UP, BREAK DOWN, AND CLEAN UP IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CLIENT. CATERER CAN DELIVER, SET-UP, AND BREAK DOWN DINING ROOM TABLES AND CHAIRS FOR AN ADDITIONAL FEE. THE CATERER’S STAFF WILL CLEAN-UP ANY MESS MADE BY THEM, I.E., KITCHEN COUNTERS AND SINKS, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF MOPPING AND VACUUMING. WHILE THE CATERER WILL DO THE VERY BEST THEY CAN, THE CATERER IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE TO CLIENT’S
    EQUIPMENT AND/OR PROPERTY THAT IS GIVEN TO THE CATERER FOR TRANSPORT OR USE.

    IN THE EVENT OF CANCELLATION, THERE IS NO REFUND OF DEPOSIT. IN THE EVENT THAT ANY LITIGATION IS NECESSARY, CLIENT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL ATTORNEYS FEES AND COURT COSTS.
